Starting from inscriptions and graffiti found on the ancient walls of the Arsenal, the book tells the story of what was once the “Workshop of Wonders” of the Venetian Republic. The result of three years of exploration, research, and writing, the volume unveils previously unknown markings, shedding light on a hidden and fascinating side of Venice.

This new publication follows the path opened by The Graffiti of Venice, enriching an ideal series that weaves together urban archaeology, memory, and storytelling.
