Opening of the exhibition ““Waterproof Venice”.
The exhibition, promoted by VSF – Venice World Sustainability Capital Foundation, aims to share with citizens and the public the Foundation members’ projects towards sustainable and integrated development of the Venetian territory.

The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore possible future scenarios for the Venetian lagoon, drawing inspiration from both its history and current design capabilities, focusing on challenges and solutions related to managing its essential and distinctive element: water. Located in the renovated space of Tesa 66 of the Venetian Arsenal, the installation, which will be accessible until October 6th, is presented as a shared curatorial project through which VSF members present their projects and express their visions for the city of Venice and its metropolitan surroundings. Visitors will thus embark on a journey that exposes the complexities of reality through texts, images, renderings, and perspectives elaborated by Artificial Intelligence and generates hypotheses about the future of Venice, based on activities and projects of VSF members for the sustainable and integrated development of the Venetian territory.

The entire setup, from graphics to colors to style, will evoke the magnificence of 12th-century Byzantine Venice, emphasizing the importance of history in shaping the present and imagining the future of Venice.

This is a project by VSF, curated by Jacopo Galli and Marco Marino.
In collaboration with the Municipality of Venice, Iuav, Vela, and Consorzio Venezia Nuova.
