Close to the end of Salone Nautico preparation

Yesterday in the evening, in the Arsenal Area, the prologue of the event with the private party of the Ferretti Group for the flagship Riva 50 Race presetation.

The equipment of the Arsenal for the first edition of the Salone Nautico is nearly completed. Yesterday evening, the big party in the basin for the presentation of the Riva 50 Race, the 50 metres iron boat in the superyacht Division Riva di Ancona. It was a great party, a private reception for shipowners and the most exclusive operators. Race is one of the many wonderful products that the Italian boating industry makes in the Adriatic, the sea that Venice is reconquering and for which the Salone is a new business opportunity as well as a great celebration for the “People of the sea”.

The city is preparing to welcome the visitors, also the visitors who are arriving from the sea, sailing, and who could use one of the Venice Superyacht Destination: Venice Certosa Marina, Marina Sant’Elena or the Venice Yacht Pier berths. Arriving from the sea is one of the best and luxury way for a complete approach to Venice. Tuesday 18th June, will be the debut with press and exhibitors (entrance from the morning and “press tour” from 4pm) and for the pubblic debut from Wednesday 19 June, from 10 am to 7.30 pm, in the same way of the days below, until Sunday 23rd June.

The most important momento of the event is planned for the 11.30 am with the mayor regards Luigi Brugnaro and the president of Senate, Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, in the “Scali/Marine Edutainment Area” and with the “Frecce Tricolori” Acrobatic Italian Unit flight at 12.00 that will close the ceremony.

It will also be a fantastic Salone, which will also offer an extraordinary opportunity to discover the Arsenal, the symbol of the naval power of the Serenissima.

In the five opened days, the Salone offers many activities for the entertainment of the adult and children pubblic , that will have the opportunity to have fun and at the same time to make new experience. In particular, in the Area Scali, called Maritime Eduitainment Area, that flanking the submarine Enrico Dandolo and overlooking the River of the Galeazze, it will be possible to experiment safely and helped by a staff of assistants, tests in the water, in the quiet water of the River of the Galeazze, rowing, canoeing, dragon boat, sailing. There will be the Optimist, Feva, Dragon Boat, canoe, derive 550, caorline, meteor,  thanks to the collaboration with the sports associations of the area that joined the event: Coordinamento ASD Polo Nautico Punta San Giuliano – Canoa Club Mestre, Circolo Velico Casanova, Circolo della Vela Mestre, Voga Veneta Mestre Canottieri Mestre -, Associazione Gondolieri Venezia, Coordinamento delle Associazioni Remiere di Voga alla Veneta, Compagnia della Vela, Diporto Velico Veneziano, Associazione Velica Lido, Associazione Vela al Terzo Venezia, Meteor Sharing ASD.

In addition, during the Salone, on the initiative of the Metropolitan City of Venice, the Race Office of the City of Venice and the Nautical Institute Francesco Morosini, can be assisted to the restoration of two boats (balotine) within the building called “Mosque” near the dry dock small, by the students of the Nautical Institute.

The Associazione Gondolieri will offer two gondolas for walk inside the Arsenal basin (warf of River of Galeazze) while with the farm Al Segnavento will be possible tour on board of an elegant Runabout from the first part of the XX Century. Instead the Nuovo Trionfo, the bragozzo “Rosa dei Venti” and  the bragozzo“Entusiasmo” will offer excursions of about an hour and a half each in North Lagoon departing from the pier Mare Laguna.

Inside the Salone, will placed the awarding of the Antiche Repubbliche Regatta’s winners. The children will play some activities with the equipment on the ground link to the voga with the rowing champion Gloria Rogliani.
