Sci Voga

In the wake of the enthusiasm and success found in the first edition, the Venice Yacht Club is once again proposing the Sci – Voga Trofeo Bortoli Assicurazioni in 2023. The SCI VOGA Trofeo Bortoli Assicurazioni is the event conceived by Mirko Sguario with the intent to enhance Venetian excellence and traditions, trying to bring as many people as possible closer to the noble art of Venetian-style rowing. The rowing competition, aboard the caorline, will be held on Friday, June 2 inside the Venice Arsenal during the Boat Show.

For combined purposes, the final ranking will be calculated by summing the individual times of the SCI race plus the overall timed times of the rowing race. The Team score is given by the sum between the 4 best times of the registered skiers who will also participate in the rowing race in order not to lose the combined score. In the presence of female rowers, a 5% rebate on the overall time will be given.

Also during this edition there will be no lack of attention to environmental sustainability, a theme particularly dear to the Venice Yacht Club and the City of Venice. Precisely for this reason, thanks to the collaboration with Energiapura, the race bibs will be made of environmentally sustainable material from PET waste from plastic bottles.

“Sci Voga” is organized by the Venice Yacht Club in collaboration with the City of Venice, Vela S.p.A, Venice Boat Show, Yacht Club Cortina d’Ampezzo, Sci Club 2000, Remiera Casteo, Rifugio Scoiattoli and One Ocean Foundation.
