Accessibility Statement

Vela S.p.A. is committed to making the website salonenautico.venezia.it accessible to everyone, regardless of technical ability or disability. This commitment reflects our broader dedication to inclusion and participation: the Venice Boat Show is an event designed to be experienced by anyone who loves the sea, and we want that accessibility to start with the website itself.
This statement has been prepared in accordance with Legislative Decree no. 106 of 10 August 2018, implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

What we are doing

We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines and the EN 301 549 standard to the greatest extent possible, in order to make the website’s content easy to perceive, navigate and understand with any technology.
Among the practices we follow during development and maintenance of the site:

  • use of correct, semantic HTML structures to support screen reader navigation
  • alternative text for informative images
  • adequate colour contrast between text and background
  • keyboard navigability for main interactive components
  • support for the latest versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)

 

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with EN 301 549 V3.2.1 and the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, due to the non-conformities listed below.
 

Known accessibility issues

While we work continuously to improve accessibility, there are some areas that do not yet fully meet the standards. We have documented them below.

  • Some images may lack adequate or sufficiently descriptive alternative text (alt text).
  • Video content embedded from third-party platforms (e.g. YouTube) may not include subtitles.
  • Some PDF documents in the press area may not be fully accessible with assistive technologies.
  • Some third-party widgets and scripts have accessibility limitations that are not directly controllable by Vela S.p.A.

 

How we improve over time

Identified issues are included in our development process and addressed in order of impact on users. Issues that significantly affect the user experience are resolved as a priority; others are addressed in subsequent update cycles.
This statement is updated annually or following significant changes to the website.

This statement was prepared on the basis of a self-assessment carried out internally by Vela S.p.A.

We take every report seriously and will respond within 30 days.
 

Enforcement procedure

If the response received is not satisfactory or does not resolve the technical issue, you may contact the Digital Ombudsman through the website of the Agency for Digital Italy (AgID) or lodge a complaint with the competent Supervisory Authority.
