Questo workshop è organizzato nell’ambito dei due progetti europei H2020 MAELSTROM (Smart technology for Marine Litter SusTainable RemOval and Management) e In-No-Plastic (Innovative approaches towards prevention, removal and reuse of marine plastic litter) co-finanziati dalla Commissione Europea a gennaio 2021. I progetti stanno sviluppando tecnologie innovative sostenibili per la rimozione e il riciclo dei rifiuti marini portando avanti azioni importanti di protezione dell’ambiente marino costiero e azioni pilota nell’area della Laguna e nell’area costiera di Venezia. Il workshop rappresenta un momento importante per fare il punto sullo sviluppo tecnologico nell’ambito della gestione dei rifiuti marini e per la realizzazione di una reale economia circolare.
