“Sustainable Navigation & Successful Destinations”

Organised by Assomarinas for the second time at the Venice Boat Show, and held at the Arsenale di Venezia — a UNESCO World Heritage site — this workshop brings together the boating industry, marina operators, regional representatives and technical bodies.

Major opportunities and challenges: The IMO Net-Zero Framework continues to advance, yet implementation mechanisms remain unsettled, and the investment direction for shipping and boating decarbonisation remains unclear. While global shipping faces sustained decarbonisation pressure, green technologies and clean energy are opening up significant opportunities. The boating industry is a critical link in shipping decarbonisation. Italy–China technical exchange will bring mutual benefit to the maritime traditions of both countries.

Agenda focus: The integrated decarbonisation of vessels/boats · ports/marinas · shoreside systems, structured across five interconnected sessions: 01. International and regional decarbonisation policy and emissions reduction progress; 02. Compliance emissions reporting for marine fuels and electricity; 03. Digital-intelligent decarbonisation of passenger and leisure vessels; 04. Digital-intelligent decarbonisation of marinas and shoreside systems; 05. Roundtable: Decarbonisation investment outlook for the boating industry and destinations (2026–2035).

Technical output: Drawing on speaker and panel contributions, the first collaborative Sustainable Navigation Guide (SNGuide) will distil clear, actionable technical references across the five sessions.

Data and AI rules: In the absence of universal AI governance, the workshop is the first to apply a set of data and AI usage and dissemination rules purpose-built for secure and efficient cross-border technical exchange — a transparent, human-centred framework that defines verification levels and credibility boundaries, enabling all parties in Italy–China boating decarbonisation to collaborate with professional trust within clearly defined norms.

重大机遇与挑战：国际航运业净零框架持续推进，但实施机制尚未落地，航运-船艇业的脱碳投资方向仍不明朗。当全球航运脱碳压力持续之时，绿色技术与清洁能源释放重大机遇。船艇业是航运脱碳的关键环节。意中技术交流将为两国海洋传统带来互惠互利。

议程聚焦：船舶/船艇 · 港口/休闲港 · 岸基的一体化脱碳，科学设置五个互相关联的专题：01. 国际–地区脱碳政策和减排进展；02. 船用燃料与电力的合规排放报告；03. 客运–休闲船艇数智化脱碳；04. 休闲港与岸基数智化脱碳；05. 圆桌讨论：船艇业和目的地脱碳的投资展望（2026–2035）。
